
GOALS
The stated goals of the Special District NEA were first developed by the Executive Board in September, 2003. They were further refined in February, 2005.
1. Empower Members: SDNEA will strive to involve members in Association activities. Empowered members will initiate action to meet their own needs. Empowered members will seek national certification, take risks, and have a voice in decision making. An empowered Association will influence standards, working conditions and improve the professional standing of the membership.

2. Improve Communication: SDNEA recognizes that the foundation upon which an empowered Association is built is good communication.

3. Form a Stronger Partnership with SSD Administration: SDNEA believes that in order for their members to be involved in all processes that affect their working conditions and professional standing there must exist a solid working relationship between SDNEA and SSD Administration.
