The 2008 NEA Representative Assembly will be July 1- July 6, 2008 in Washington DC.

SDNEA delegates for the National Representative Assembly are elected in the fall.  The voting occurs at the General Membership Meeting.  This years election will take place on October 9, 2007 (4:30p.m. at Litzsinger School ).  SDNEA pays your travel expenses and provides you with all the information you need to participate in the Representative Assembly.  Any member can be elected, no previous experience is required.  This is a great way to find out how the NEA "works for you" and to get involved with your Association!

The 2006 NEA Representative Assembly was in Orlando, FL.

SDNEA Delegates were:  Janette Colquitt, Jen Guth, Monica Jefferson, Mary Ellen Kerner, Tammy McGrellis, Mary Powers-Stashefsky, Jim Ward, Jan Wester, and Gail White-Williams.

Elected alternates were: Janice Anderson, Christine Haberberger, and Lore Zanitsch

The 2005 NEA Representative Assebly was in Los Angeles, California.

Highlights included a discussion and vote that allowed NEA New York to merge with the AFT and a visit from the newly elected Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa .
